Today was Grandparent’s Day at my grandchildren’s school. As I dressed to go spend my day with them, I deliberately chose a red blouse with USA emblazoned in sequins on the front. Why the red blouse? Why wear the sequined “USA” for an elementary school function? Because, today is September 11th. (more…)

Happy Fourth of July America – I Miss You
Saturday, July 4th, 2009Today is July 4th – our Independence Day. As I write this post, I’m cooking fajitas, cutting up watermelon and waiting on the arrival of children and grandchildren to celebrate. I love this country and this holiday. My family immigrated to America in 1645. (more…)
